Brian Peschl is the owner of 1st Choice Pest Services, a leading pest control company established in August 2007. With 27 years of experience in the pest control industry, he has developed extensive expertise in the field. After working in the industry for 10 years, Brian decided to open a pest control operation of his own. Working in multiple locations throughout the state of Florida and with some large pest control companies, gained knowledge and expertise that many local companies do not have.
Brian has been married for 27 years this year. He has two children: Hunter, who works with him and is a graduate of Florida State University, and Megan, a graduate of the University of Florida who is now attending Emory Law School in Atlanta. He is a graduate of Florida State University. He is a certified pest control operator in the categories of general pest control, wood-destroying organisms and insects, fumigation, and lawn and ornamental care. Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending his time hunting, fishing, gardening, bike riding, and traveling. His diverse interests and professional expertise make him a well-rounded and dedicated individual both in his career and personal life.
Pete Jones
Service ManagerState Licensed Operator
Pete Jones brings over 23 years of experience to the pest control industry. He is a state-licensed operator, certified in General Household Pest Control and Wood Destroying Organisms & Termite Control. As a military veteran, Pete combines discipline and expertise in his work. He is a proud father of 5 children and grandfather to 7 grandchildren. In his free time, Pete enjoys gaming, riding motorcycles, and working with RC cars. His extensive experience and varied interests make him a dedicated and dynamic professional in the pest control field.

Justin Peschl brings over 10 years of experience to the pest control industry. A married father of three girls, Justin combines his professional skills with a strong attention to detail, honed through his previous maintenance experience. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, he enjoys fishing, shooting, and spending time with his chickens. Justin’s dedication to his work and his family, along with his varied interests, make him a well-rounded and committed individual.
Jackson Keels
Lead Commercial Pest Technician
Jackson Keels brings over 5 years of experience to the pest control industry. His previous role as a tire technician has instilled in him a strong work ethic. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Jackson graduated from Lincoln High School and got married in 2023. He enjoys fishing, shooting pool, spending days at the beach, and traveling. Jackson is also the proud father to his dog, King. His dedication to his work and his varied interests make him a well-rounded and diligent professional. Jackson is currently studying for his licensing exam to be a certified operator.

Hunter Peschl is a dedicated professional with 5 years of experience in the pest control industry. He is a licensed Operator – General Household Pest and Rodent Control, Termite, and Other WDO Control, specializing in the category of Wood Destroying Organisms and Insects. A Magna Cum Laude graduate from the Business Management School at Florida State University. Hunter was also a member of the Lincoln High School baseball team that won the State Championship in 2017. Born and raised in Tallahassee, Florida, he enjoys a variety of hobbies, including fishing, pickleball, playing pool with friends, participating in adult league softball, and watching all sports. His background and interests make him a dynamic and engaged individual both in his professional and personal life.
Jessica Payea

Jessica Payea is the Office Manager at 1st Choice Pest Services, bringing years of office management experience and a genuine passion for helping clients. Originally from San Diego, California, she moved to South Florida at age 9 and has called Tallahassee home since 2020.
Jessica keeps daily operations running smoothly while making sure every customer feels supported and taken care of. Her organization, attention to detail, and customer-first approach are a big part of what makes the office—and the company—run efficiently.
She is a proud mom to her two daughters, Alanna and Isabella. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys cooking, riding four-wheelers, and staying busy—she’s always on the move.
Susan Waldman

Susan Waldman has been the dedicated office manager of 1st Choice Pest Services for over 8 years. A long-time resident of Tallahassee for 40 years, she has raised 3 sons and is a proud grandmother to 8 grandchildren. Susan graduated from Florida State University with a degree in Math Education and spent 7 years as a teacher. Additionally, she worked in real estate for 10 years and previously owned a home inspection company. Outside of work, Susan enjoys working in the yard, spending time with her family and grandchildren, having nights out with friends, and the attention of her loving dog, Scout. Her extensive professional background and rich personal life make her a well-rounded and committed individual.
